AUTUMN
For
the first time in many years Atholl Players will not be presenting
an autumn show this year. The option of putting on a show at PFT
was not available to us this year as they will be putting on their
panto. in December. rhe committee wil be looking at options to
keep things ticking over in the meantime.
Anyone who has any idaes for festival plays should contact a committee
member.
SCOTTISH
FINAL
Incident
at the Border won the Porteous Trophy for second place at theScottish
Final in P.F.T. against some very strong opposition. They also
won the Donald Farmer Trophy for best moment of theatre for the
stunning of Derek.

POSTER
COMPETITION
SCDA
has an annual competition for the best poster in the preceding
year. The winner for 2009 was Giles with his poster for Paras
Over The Barras. Unfortunately Giles was unable to be present
but Steven, as Club President collected the award on his behalf.

DIVISIONAL
FESTIVAL
Incident
at the Border won the Jess Milne Quaich for second place at the
Divisional Festival in Kirkwall and won through to the Scottish
Final in Pitlochry Festival Theatre.
DISTRICT
FESTIVAL
Incident
at the Border won the Sandy Miller Cup for second place at the
Festival in Birnam and went through to Divisionals in Kirkwall.
They also won the Roy Caterer Quaich for Best Stage Presentation.
Although
The Washing Stone did not feature in the prize list they came
5th equal which was a creditable performance for a new director
and a relatively inexperienced team.
