CHAIRMAN
STEVEN
FITZGERALD
.
Hello
and welcome to the Atholl Players website.
We
are a small group of people but with a great sense of ambition
and passion. We are a very friendly group who always welcome new
members to share in the hobby we all love. There are many ways
to be involved in amateur dramatics; be it on stage, backstage,
being creative with costumes and props or if you feel you’re
a budding director wanting to create a story. Plus there are many
more ways to get involved, and if any sound appealing then come
along and see what the fuss is all about. We usually meet every
Tuesday and Thursday at either "The Hut" in Murray place
or at Port Na Craig for rehearsals so come along and have some
fun, we're all very friendly and encourage you to only do as much
as you feel comfortable with.
Please
feel free to browse our website which includes our past productions
like “Para’s over the Barras”, "Dick Barton"
and "Allo Allo". We are also members of SCDA which is
a collaboration of hundreds of amateur drama groups in Scotland.
We take part in their annual one act festival, and we have a dedicated
web page showing our previous successes. We are also competing
this year entering two productions: "An Incident at the border"
by Kieran Lynn and "The Washing stone" written and directed
by a club member Giles Conisbee. So enjoy and keep looking for
all the latest details of what we’re doing.
All
the best
Steven
Fitzgerald, Chairman
